Team USA is coming together for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.
Some of the biggest names in the NBA are considered guarantees like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and others.
On Monday’s “Run It Back,” Shams Charania said that Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks is a name to watch.
“[Irving] was the 2014 World Cup MVP, he was on the 2016 Olympic team that won a gold medal. I think that he’s going to be a name to continue to monitor for Team USA,” Charania said.

The speculation around Irving followed a conversation about his amazing game on Sunday when he scored an incredible shot in the closing seconds of a tough game against the Denver Nuggets.
It was the sort of play that Team USA would be very happy to see this summer.
Irving has stated that he would like to be a part of the national team, something confirmed by Charania.
Additionally, he would be playing with multiple athletes who are very near and dear to him.
He will be 32 years old at the time of the Olympics, which means it might be one of his last chances to represent America in the big games.
In the upcoming months, NBA fans are going to hear about many more stars who want to play for Team USA.
Because of the talent already committed, others will want to join and do all they can to win a gold medal.
Irving is one of multiple names that will be in talks for the Olympics.
After a disappointing run in the FIBA World Cup, Team USA organizers vowed to build a better and stronger team for 2024.
Adding Irving to the lineup would help them reach that goal.
