The Dallas Cowboys are anxious to get back to contending for a Super Bowl title and believe they may have the right man coming out of the backfield to help them get there in the form of Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard.
With the ascension of Pollard over the last couple of years, veteran star Ezekiel Elliott had become expendable, with the team committing to Pollard and recently releasing Elliott.
Despite scoring 12 touchdowns last season, the Cowboys felt it was time to part ways, and now that Elliott is a free agent and able to sign with any team, he’s reportedly become frustrated with the process, according to NFL Rumors.

At this point in his career, there’s no question that he’s no longer the same player in terms of his impact coming out of the backfield.
However, with 12 touchdowns to his credit last season, Elliott might not be done as a feature back in the NFL, but no team seems to be chomping at the bit to sign him right now and may be waiting until after the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft to do so.
With a lot of talent at the running back position in the draft, which starts on April 27, teams around the league may be waiting to see if they can grab a rookie at the position rather than spend a potentially high price on a veteran like Elliott.
The frustration from Elliott is understandable, considering he’s new to the process after spending his entire career with the Cowboys, but he’ll likely find a new home in the league at some point between now and Week 1.
