Now that the NBA playoffs are just several weeks away, analysts, fans, and writers are trying to decide which teams have the best chance of reaching the Finals.
Many people think that the reigning champion Denver Nuggets have the strongest shot of reaching the championship again.
Nick Wright is one of those people, and he listed his top choices for the 2024 Finals on the latest episode of “First Things First.”
He said that the Nuggets have a 25% chance of winning a title, followed by the Milwaukee Bucks with 20%, the Boston Celtics with 10%, and a bunch of other teams in single digits.

His reasoning is clear: Nikola Jokic is playing like he usually does, the team is healthy, they have secured a string of important and impressive wins lately, and they look like the team they were last year when they won their first championship.
Wright’s logic is sound and there are plenty of people who feel the same way, predicting a repeat of last year’s championship.
He thinks that the Bucks need more time to work together but gives them the second-best chance of winning the championship, while he places the Celtics in third place, which is a move that will surprise some.
The Celtics, of course, are the top team in the league right now.
However, there is concern from their fanbase that a great regular season won’t convert into a ton of success in the playoffs.
It wouldn’t be the first time that has happened, just like it did to Milwaukee last year.
Other teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, and Miami Heat have shots at winning but they are very small, according to Wright.
He thinks these three teams are the clear frontrunners and it’ll take a lot for any other squad to get in their way.
