On Monday, the country was put on hold for a brief time during the middle of the day due to the total eclipse that took place across the United States, which led to most Americans stepping outside to check out the event that hadn’t happened in seven years.
Apparently, Nike took advantage of this event and captured the attention of the nation by releasing a commercial with a giant crop circle with a basketball, an alien face and two Nike swooshes.
Evidently, this commercial is promoting a new logo for San Antonio Spurs rookie superstar Victor Wembanyama, who has taken the NBA by storm this season and seems to have a very bright future ahead as one of the league’s best all-around players.

With Wembanyama displaying skills that we’ve never seen from a player that’s seven-foot-six inches tall, people have called him an alien, which the Spurs superstar appears to be embracing and running with, which is a smart move.
Although Wembanyama was thought to be an instant game-changer for the Spurs after they selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, San Antonio continues to go through some growing pains, as they’ll finish the 2023-24 campaign with one of the worst records in the league.
However, Wembanyama’s presence and progress throughout the course of the season has led to a lot of optimism and promise surrounding the French import, with some believing the new face of the Spurs could eventually become the best player in the NBA.
