At this point in the NBA regular season, the best teams in the league tend to turn things up a notch or two in an effort to secure the highest seed possible in their respective conference, with the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets being one of those teams.

The Nuggets have kicked it into high gear in the final stretch of the regular season with the team winning eight of their last 10 games and five straight before falling to the Dallas Mavericks in a thriller on Sunday, as Nikola Jokic and company seem to be on a mission once again to win it all.

Although there are still a few weeks left until the start of the NBA playoffs on April 20, Denver seems like the team to beat in the Western Conference as he has the team firing on all cylinders.

According to Bovada, Jokic is already being dubbed the overwhelming favorite to win Western Conference Finals MVP ahead of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and James Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers, via NBACentral.

As long as the Nuggets can stay healthy in the final stretch ahead of the postseason, Denver will be incredibly tough to beat in a seven-game series, with Jokic well on his way to a third NBA MVP award and potentially a second straight NBA title.

Only time will tell if the Nuggets can keep it going in the playoffs, as there will be some tough competition, like the Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves to name a few.
