Over the last few months, much has been said about USC product Bronny James and whether he will have a successful playing career on the NBA level after failing to prove his worth during his freshman and only season at the USC.
At one point in time, the consensus around the league was that LeBron James’ son would not get taken in the 2024 NBA Draft and would either be forced to go back to school or sign with an NBA team as an undrafted free agent.
Even though that was the narrative for quite some time, there’s been a lot of added hype around the former Trojan after he went through the NBA Draft Combine and showcased his skills.
Despite only averaging 4.8 points per game off the bench for USC, Bronny now seems to have a legitimate shot of getting drafted in the first or second round of the upcoming NBA Draft on June 26 and June 27.
In fact, the Los Angeles Lakers remain the team favored to draft James, followed by the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, and Cleveland Cavaliers, according to ESPN Bet.

At this point in time, there’s no telling what will happen as it isn’t even set in stone that LeBron James will stay with the Lakers, as he’s expected to opt-out of his contract with the team next month and potentially test NBA free agency.
Although the odds are that LeBron will sign another lucrative long-term deal with the Lakers, there’s a chance he could take his talents elsewhere to finish his NBA career, which would almost certainly change the odds of Bronny getting drafted by the storied franchise next month.
