Pacers Veteran Opens Up About Trade Rumors

Some players in the NBA can’t avoid being mentioned in trade rumors every single year, even though they are very talented and appear to be a valuable part of the team they’re playing on.

One of those players is versatile veteran center Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers, who seems to get mentioned in trade rumors on an annual basis, no matter whether he’s playing at a high level or not.

Obviously, these players are human and not immune to how that may make them feel, and that can take a toll over time as it may feel as though they aren’t valued or are considered to be expendable.

Recently, the Pacers star opened up about what those constant trade rumors have done to him over the years, considering he wasn’t mentioned in any this year ahead of the NBA trade deadline earlier this month, via HoopsHype.

“Honestly, I still got PTSD from that,” he said.

At the end of the day, the NBA is a business, and players can, one way or another, be treated simply as assets that can be moved at a moment’s notice.

Although that is a tough pill to swallow, as no one ever wants to feel expendable or like a piece moved on a chess board, that’s business, and Turner appears to have come to terms with that as much as he can.

Fortunately for Turner, he’s in a good situation right now with the Pacers, who are trending up ever since the franchise brought in Tyrese Haliburton to run the show at the point guard position.
