Things haven’t been too bright and sunny for the St. Louis Cardinals to start the 2023 season.
After a series win against the Toronto Blue Jays, the team lost two consecutive series to the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers, respectively.
Another loss on Monday to the Colorado Rockies put them at 3-7 on the season as they remain in the cellar of the NL Central.
The big hit eluded them once again, and the struggles of the starting rotation continued.
But despite the team’s struggles, fans are still able to have a little bit of fun on social media.
On Twitter, a fan posted a hilarious GIF featuring people dressed as clowns waving to a camera to sum up the team’s ugly start.

The last time the Cardinals started off this poorly was 2017.
After being swept by the New York Yankees, the Cards were 3-9.
They ultimately rebounded from their poor start, but missed the postseason and finished with an 83-79 record.
The Cardinals haven’t reached 3-9 just yet, but they could be on their way to such a dubious start.
Their loss in Denver cost them a chance to move up in the NL Central standings and gain ground on the first-place Milwaukee Brewers, who fell to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.
St. Louis will turn to veteran right-hander Miles Mikolas on Tuesday as they look to get back into the win column and move closer to the .500 mark.
A series win in Colorado would put them at 5-7 before returning home for a four-game set against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
