The Dallas Cowboys were supposed to have an eventful offseason after bowing out in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs, but instead opted to stand mostly pat in free agency.
Dallas owner Jerry Jones promised to make some moves to improve the roster but largely decided to tweak the margins instead.
Despite the lack of splash moves, though, the Cowboys are still set up to be competitive during the 2024 NFL season as their top offensive pieces in Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb will be back.
Both Prescott and Lamb are in line for massive contract extensions after their 2023 NFL campaigns, though the latter’s deal will be interesting to monitor as he could very well reset the market for wide receivers.
Lamb has always been a talented wideout, but he truly ascended to superstardom in 2023 when he had a career year on the field.
The receiver was arguably the best at his position and the numbers back up his productivity on passing-down situations, via PFF.

When Prescott and the Cowboys needed a place to go with the football, Lamb was often the answer and he responded with clutch plays more often than not.
With his blend of size, speed, hands, and route-running, Lamb is a nightmare to cover for any defense and there’s no reason why he can’t replicate his success in 2024.
Lamb is truly one of the best in the game and it’ll be exciting to see what he does this upcoming season.
