The Philadelphia Phillies are getting set to play their first Game 7 in franchise history.
Most people thought this series would not have to go seven games.
But, Game 6 was a total disaster for the Phils.
Aaron Nola did not pitch well, and the Phillies were held to one run on six hits.
Any time you can avoid a Game 7, that is for the best.
In a win-or-go-home scenario, every pitch matters and the pressure intensifies.
But, the Phillies are hoping to feed off their fans en route to winning the pennant.
One way they plan to get the fans excited early is by having a fan favorite throw out the first pitch.
According to John Kruk, he will be throwing out the first pitch before Game 7.

Kruk has spent the last few years as a member of the Phillies broadcast team.
He is someone their fans listen to on a nightly basis.
Seeing him on the mound before the biggest game of the season should help get the fans excited.
All series long the Phillies have had a team legend throw out the first pitch.
Every fan hopes Kruk will help bring the team good luck.
But you never know how a team or individual will react to playing in a Game 7.
We saw a Game 7 in the American League, where the road team won convincingly.
It has become clear in recent years that the postseason is about whichever team is playing the best moves on.
That will once again be the case in Game 7 of the NLCS.
