Just over a week after getting traded to the New York Jets, future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers is enjoying his time in the big city.
On Tuesday, he attended the New York Knicks playoff game versus the Miami Heat with teammate Sauce Gardner, and they were just two of many celebrities who were on hand at Madison Square Garden.
Another one was actress Jessica Alba, who was seated nearby, but Gardner told Rodgers he didn’t know who she is, according to insider Rich Cimini.
Sauce Gardner, who sat w/ Rodgers last night on celebrity row at #Knicks game, said AR was teasing him about his age: “We were getting seated + he was like, ‘We’re about to sit by Jessica Alba.’ I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t know who that is.’ He looked at me like I’m crazy.” #Jets

Alba’s heyday was arguably in the 2000s, so perhaps Gardner simply missed out on her prime years.
However, Gardner hasn’t even entered his own prime years as an NFL cornerback, but he is already a force to be reckoned with.
After he was the No. 4 pick in last year’s draft by the Jets, he led the league with 20 passes defended, to go along with 75 combined tackles (51 solo) as he claimed the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
He was a big reason why New York was fourth in both points and total yards allowed last season.
Assuming what Gardner did last season was no fluke, he will take a good amount of pressure off the 39-year-old Rodgers.
The Jets have brought in Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, two wide receivers who have played with Rodgers, in order to provide him with some continuity.
Of course, Nathaniel Hackett will be their offensive coordinator, just as he was for Rodgers and Green Bay from 2019 to 2021.
Together, they will try to take New York to the playoffs for the first time since 2010.
