The Phoenix Suns weren’t able to keep up with the Denver Nuggets on Monday night – again.

They lost their second game in a row, falling to a 0-2 deficit against Nikola Jokic and his top-seeded Western Conference team.

On Tuesday morning, numerous people were writing obituaries for the Suns, including Skip Bayless.

“The Suns are done,” Bayless said on Undisputed.

He then went on to talk about the biggest problem for the Suns: the loss of Chris Paul in Monday night’s game.

“This was devastating and deflating. The Suns have set. There’s only one reason they lost: their maestro got hurt,” he added.

The Suns were up three with Paul in the game and then the aging guard injured himself and had to take off to the locker room.

They eventually lost by ten points and were blown out in the fourth quarter.

Bayless referred to Paul as “the conduit between Kevin Durant and Devin Booker” and commented on all the good he was doing for the team.

He is a great ball handler, a skilled communicator, and can still make some seriously tough shots.

The Suns floundered without him, according to Bayless.

Now, no one is sure how much longer he will be out.

Phoenix hasn’t yet given an update on Paul’s groin injury but there is fear that he could miss at least a few games.

For a team that was already lacking depth, this is the last thing they need.

It might be soon to tell if the Suns are out of chances in this series.

Durant, Booker, and the rest of the squad could get it together and win two games at home to even the series.

But the loss of Paul is going to make things so much harder in the days ahead.
