Over the past couple of years, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis has been heavily criticized for not showing up in games consistently, as it seems impossible to know what the team is getting from him from night to night.
On some nights, Davis looks like he can compete for both the NBA MVP award and the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award, which only a few players in the league can do.
However, the inconsistency has really hurt Davis’ career and legacy as of late, with the Lakers struggling to live up to expectations because they’ve been unable to lean on the 30-year-old.
The narrative about Davis’ inconsistency has gotten so bad as of late that he’s starting to get comparisons to fellow superstar James Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Apparently, Skip Bayless of FOX Sports believes he’s seeing Harden become the Clippers version of Davis because of his inconsistency, via “Undisputed.”

At this point in time, Davis is helping the Lakers more than what Harden is doing for the Clippers, even though both teams haven’t lived up to expectations at this point in the 2023-24 NBA season.
However, it seems that neither team can lean on these superstars to shoulder the load consistently, as both players might be past that point in their careers where they can do that night in and night out.
With about 20 games played this season, there’s a lot of basketball left to be played so that the narrative can change for both players, but it remains to be seen whether either team will get back on track this season.
