The Golden State Warriors came out flat in the second half Tuesday night and paid the price.

The Los Angeles Lakers kept the same intensity throughout the whole game and managed to hold on despite an exciting 14-0 run to even things up with not much time left on the clock.

That was also due to a wild shot by Jordan Poole, who pulled up from way downtown with plenty of time still left on the clock to pretty much hand the Lakers the win.

Even so, coach Steve Kerr doesn’t think Poole’s wild shot was a bad shot at all.

When asked about it, he claimed that Poole had done an outstanding job throughout the whole game, pointing out that he had already knocked down six three-pointers.

This isn’t the first time that Poole’s erratic decision-making has cost the Warriors late in games.

But, to be fair, that’s just the kind of player he is, and he’s also made some huge buckets for them in his brief career with the organization.

Kerr also acknowledged that he could’ve used a timeout to try and draw a play up, but he felt well about his team’s rhythm and their ability to get a good look to tie things up.

Truth be told, that’s just how things go in this league.

It was a make-or-miss situation; sometimes they go in, sometimes they don’t.

Poole is one of the best scorers on the team, and he’ll always have a green light to pull up and shoot, especially with Stephen Curry trapped and double-teamed all over the court.
