During Monday night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, Chris Paul added 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists to the scoreboard and helped his team claim a much-needed victory.
Following the game, head coach Steve Kerr spoke with NBC Sports about how talented Paul is.
“There’s a reason he’s going to the Hall of Fame,” Kerr said.
He then called him “one of the greatest point guards ever” who has “still got a lot left.”
Kerr went on to claim that Paul is a master of the pick-and-roll who understands angles and reads “the decisions so well.”
He is a floor general unlike any other and someone who is able to lead a team even after 18 years in the league, according to Kerr.

Paul’s first season with the Warriors has been something of a mixed bag.
He has averaged 9.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game, which are strong numbers for a player who mostly comes off the bench.
That being said, he has been held back by injuries and has only participated in 40 games in 2023-24.
When Paul has been healthy and on the floor, he has reminded fans just how special of a player he is.
For years now, Paul has been considered one of the greatest point guards of all time but fans of the Warriors still weren’t entirely sure how he’d fit in the Golden State lineup.
How would he work alongside Stephen Curry, they wondered?
In the end, Paul hasn’t played a lot with Curry and has instead been the leader of the team’s second unit most of the time.
On Monday night, Curry was out with an injury so Paul was able to fill the void and lead the starting five.
His skills and leadership helped the Warriors score an important victory when the team needed it most.
