The Atlanta Falcons have been quite busy during the NFL offseason thus far, signing several free agents to their roster.

After a 7-10 finish to the 2022 campaign, the Falcons are beginning to make changes to best compete in 2023.

Recently, this included signing Bud Dupree, according to Zach Klein, an Atlanta-based sports reporter.

Dupree is an eight-year NFL veteran and was most recently a member of the Tennessee Titans.

While the Titans have continued to grow their team with younger players, adding Dupree and his veteran presence should prove to be valuable to the roster, assuming that he is fully healthy.

Dupree has experienced a few injuries over the past few years, including an abdominal injury, and a torn ACL in 2020.

Due to these injuries, Dupree only started 11 games for the Titans in 2022, his lowest total since 2016.

In those 11 games, Dupree totaled 18 tackles, four sacks, nine quarterback hits, and two fumble recoveries.

Dupree’s signing comes after the Falcons made deals with Calais Campbell, Jeff Okudah, and Jessie Bates, among several others.

This defense has grown significantly over the offseason, and the Falcons don’t appear to be finished, either.

With the NFL Draft nearing, the Falcons could turn to a few key rookies who could make an immediate impact on this roster.

Pending a trade, the Falcons are slated to pick 11th and 41st overall.

Who else will they add in search of a greatly improved team from the 2022 season?

With a new general manager at the helm, we’ll have to wait and see.
