In one year, the Los Angeles Rams have gone from hoping to repeat as Super Bowl champions to merely wanting to be competitive.
After winning the world championship to end the 2021 season, they fell flat on their faces and went just 5-12 in 2022, mostly due to lots of key injuries.
With defensive stars Jalen Ramsey and Bobby Wagner gone, L.A.’s chances of title contention this coming season are slim to none, but they are hoping to return to the playoffs and make some noise there.
In order to bolster their chances of doing so, they agreed to terms with veteran wide receiver Demarcus Robinson on Thursday, per Ian Rapoport.

Robinson was a fourth-round draft choice in 2016, and last season he put up 458 yards and two touchdowns while with the Baltimore Ravens.
Prior to last season, he was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, which allowed him to collect a world championship ring in the 2019 season.
He will add some depth to a wide receiver room that should be fairly impressive given a return to good health.
Los Angeles’ top two receivers — Cooper Kupp and Van Jefferson — both missed several games in 2022 with a high ankle sprain and a knee injury, respectively.
But when healthy, both are game changers.
In 2021, Kupp had a banner year, posting 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns while being named to both the Pro Bowl and All-Pro first-team, while Jefferson added 802 yards and six touchdowns.
Due to the departures of Ramsey and Wagner, both Kupp and Jefferson will need big 2023 performances to get the Rams back to the postseason.
