The Rays Welcomed A Special Guest On Thursday

Baseball is a game that people in all walks of life can enjoy.

Children enjoy the opportunity to experience such a fun event for the first time, while adults enjoy the opportunity to give their kids such a fun experience.

But those who have been fans their entire lives truly understand how special the game is.

For the Tampa Bay Rays, there is one fan who has been around a long time and has enjoyed cheering for the team.

A 106-year-old woman named Agnes has lived in the Tampa Bay area since the 1980s and has been watching all Rays telecasts since their inception in 1998.

On Twitter, Rays reporter Tricia Whitaker posted a picture of herself with Agnes as the latter celebrates a special occasion, with Thursday being the first time she had ever attended a Rays game.

Meet Ms. Agnes.

She’s 106 years old and sharp as a tack.

Been a Rays fan since the beginning but this is her FIRST game in person. Watches the broadcast every night.

Today? She’ll be in a suite and get this: she’s the honorary play ball “kid.”

It’s never too late to experience something for the first time in your life.

For Agnes, it’s been quite a journey.

On Thursday, Agnes was in a suite and got a chance to be the honorary “Play Ball” person.

Agnes has loved the Rays since they were founded all those years ago.

She says that it doesn’t matter how late the game goes or how long it lasts.

She’s simply entertained by baseball and the Rays and will stay up as late as possible in order to catch the entire game.

Agnes certainly got to experience something wonderful on Thursday as the Rays concluded their four-game series with the Boston Red Sox.
