On Monday night, the Denver Nuggets were crowned NBA champions for the first time in the franchise’s history, with two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic leading the team to victory over the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the NBA Finals to seal the deal.

The Nuggets proved to be the best team in the regular season, and that carried over to the playoffs, with Michael Malone’s squad dominating the competition from start to finish in the postseason.

In the aftermath of Jokic and company winning it all, Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks took to Twitter with an interesting and unexpected message for the rest of the league via NBA on ESPN.

This tweet by Young is somewhat comical because of the shaky status of the Hawks heading into the NBA offseason, as the team could mix it up by making some trades to bolster the roster ahead of next season.

Although that would usually be good news for Young, he’s frequently been mentioned in trade rumors over the past year, and the team might be looking to move on from him this summer if they can find the right deal.

There’s no doubt the Hawks are a talented team and got a considerable boost with the hiring of head coach Quin Synder, but it remains to be seen whether Young is a winning player, as he’s already gone through multiple coaches and has rubbed some of his teammates the wrong way in Atlanta.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Hawks are tired of Young’s act and decide to move him during the offseason or give it another shot with the superstar guard leading the way.
