The situation between the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson remains unresolved.
This has caused many fans and NFL analysts to continue to debate the topic, as many believe that Jackson is in line for a large contract.
While Jackson has been a focal point during these conversations, there is one player that hasn’t been widely discussed: Tyler Huntley.
Huntley was Jackson’s backup last season, and is slated to be the team’s starter, should something happen to Jackson.
This was recently confirmed, as Huntley plans to sign his restricted tender, per Tom Pelissero.

As Pelissero indicates, Jackson has not yet signed his tender, given his franchise tag designation.
Huntley played in seven games in 2022, which includes the Ravens’ playoff game.
In the regular season, Huntley had just 658 passing yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions.
He added 137 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
Due to his uninspiring performances, the Ravens had a 2-3 record when Huntley started, which includes their playoff loss.
Ultimately, the Ravens team has proven to be significantly better when Jackson is on the field.
However, they might not have the luxury of having Jackson play in 2023, if his contract negotiations remain unfinished when the season starts.
Huntley could have one more season to prove that he is worthy of a long-term contract, either with the Ravens, or another team across the league.
When will this situation be resolved, one way or another?
Ravens fans have been waiting to get confirmation, and they currently sit in limbo ahead of the season.
