After a few years of trying to rebuild in the post-James Harden era, the Houston Rockets might finally have a path to some success, with the team bringing in head coach Ime Udoka to right the ship.
Although Udoka dealt with his fair share of issues off the court, there’s no doubting his talent as a head coach in the league, with many anticipating him to be someone who can turn this Rockets franchise around.
However, the rebuild in Houston will not be a fast process for Udoka and company, with a lot of changes needing to be made, but the team does benefit from having some of the best young talent in the league.
One of those talented young players is rookie Cam Whitmore, who slid down the draft and landed in the lap of Udoka, who will likely reap the benefit of having him in Houston to start his NBA career.
Along with being a talented basketball player, Whitmore is athletic, as seen in this video sent out by the Rockets’ Twitter account of the rookie casually pulling off a 360 dunk out of nowhere via ClutchPoints.

Whitmore is as athletic as they come, which is something that’s usually needed to be successful in the NBA, but it remains to be seen what kind of player he can be on the NBA level after putting on a show at Villanova.
Along with Whitmore, the Rockets brought in Jabari Smith Jr. last season and drafted Amen Thompson this year while also signing Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks in NBA free agency.
Even though not much is expected of the Rockets this year, Houston could make some noise in the Western Conference, signaling that this team might not be far from being a playoff contender.
