The first-round playoff series between Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings was about as entertaining as it gets in the NBA playoffs, with these division rivals not giving up an inch to one another in an epic battle in Northern California.
Despite the Kings clinching the third seed in the Western Conference after an incredible regular season, the defending NBA champion Warriors were considered the favorites, but no clear favorite emerged in this series as it went back and forth from game to game.
These two teams were as evenly matched as they come, with four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry leading the way for the Warriors and Kings guard De’Aaron Fox keeping Sacramento in the running from Game 1 to Game 7.
In the end, Curry proved to be too much for the Kings to handle, as he saved his best for last with a historic performance in Game 7 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
According to the NBA Communications Twitter account, this seven-game series between the Warriors and Kings was the most-watched in nearly a decade, while Game 7 was the most-watched game in 24 years.

This playoff series didn’t disappoint, with this legendary Warriors team keeping their title defense alive and Curry putting on a show for the ages while the Kings proved to be a force to be reckoned with and a team to be feared in the West for many years to come.
Although it will be tough to top this first-round series, the Warriors will have another tough matchup ahead of them as they’ll face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round, which could also set some records.
