This has been a brutal couple of months for the Dallas Cowboys and their fans.
They were supposed to play at least two playoff games at home, and then got blown out by a young Green Bay Packers team on their own field.
To add insult to injury, the team decided to hold on to Mike McCarthy despite his well-documented struggles in the playoffs.
Jerry Jones then tried to appease the masses by promising to go all-in in the offseason.
That’s why, after looking at their schedule, NFL analyst — and passionate Cowboys fan — Skip Bayless predicted they wouldn’t even make the playoffs.

In the latest edition of his podcast, he predicted the Cowboys would go 8-9 next season, adding that the Philadelphia Eagles would run away with the division.
The second prediction might not be much of a hot take, as the Eagles clearly have the best roster and coaching staff in the NFC East.
As for the Cowboys, while it’s true that they should be a worse team than they were last season, perhaps he’s talking out of passion and emotions and not rationally.
Still, it might be a very long season in Arlington.
