It’s one thing to make it to the NBA, but it’s an entirely different thing to actually have a long and successful career in the league.
More often than not, we see players who fail to live up to the expectations, either because of injuries, tough luck, poor work ethic, being in the wrong system or organization, or simply not being as good as everybody thought they were.
Sometimes, those players don’t even manage to stay in the league for long and have to keep pursuing their dreams and careers somewhere else.
That was the case with Jabari Parker, and it seems like he’s going through a tough time right now.
When asked about his life and how things were going after his first season overseas, the former No. 2 pick broke down in tears and couldn’t even finish his interview (via Jijantes FC & Legion Hoops).

Parker was supposed to be a generational player, someone whose size and scoring skills drew comparisons to Kevin Durant, and a guy who was expected to be the next offensive superstar of the game.
That was never the case.
Following a successful career at Duke, he could barely play in his rookie season with the Milwaukee Bucks because of an injury.
Then, just when it seemed like he had hit his stride in his third campaign, injuries derailed his career again.
Parker had stints with the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, and Boston Celtics before finally heading to the Liga ACB to play for Barcelona.
Clearly, that’s not where he wants to be.
