In the age of social media, with everyone in the world having a voice in heated sports debates, the GOAT conversation in the NBA has become a hot topic of discussion, with many fans, players, and the media narrowing the debate down to two superstars.
Those two players are Michael Jordan, who was arguably the best player in league history, winning six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls in six attempts, and current Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James.
Although there are other superstars that can make a case for the distinction of being the greatest player in NBA history, like Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Bill Russell, most people would choose James or Jordan for the top spot.
As for Los Angeles Clippers superstar guard James Harden, it comes down to one player and one player alone, and that’s Bryant via NBA Central.
“There was only one person who made me love, I mean fall in love with the game, and that’s Kobe Bryant,” Harden said. “Being from LA and being a Lakers fan watching him grow up and win several championships and his passion and love and what he did for the game of basketball, I think the world, you know, feels the same way, but that’s why I started playing basketball. I kind of picked up the skill set and things I’ve learned on my own, but as far as falling in love with the game, it’s definitely been Kobe.”

The current generation of superstars in the league grew up watching Bryant and James, so the debate has changed over the years, with less and less players watching Jordan before making their way to the NBA level.
That said, Bryant has become a popular choice of veterans in the league today, even though James has arguably the best all-around resume.
