LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is obviously one of the biggest names in the history of the NBA and remains one of the most well-known and celebrated athletes alive.
But he believes that there are two other stars who are more influential than him.
Speaking on his new “Mind The Game” podcast, James said that Stephen Curry and Allen Iverson outrank him when it comes to their level of influence.
“Steph and Allen Iverson are the two biggest influential guys in our game since I’ve been watching and covering it,” James said, via NBACentral.

That is special, high praise for Curry and Iverson, especially coming from someone like James.
But his claim isn’t made out of thin air, because James has been studying basketball all his life.
He might be one of the greatest players alive but he’s also a student of the game and a historian of the NBA in many ways.
So when he says Curry and Iverson are the most influential players to ever do it, people listen.
The influence of both Curry and Iverson is felt all the time.
Iverson changed the way that people thought of players and the league for a number of reasons.
Then, years later, Curry entered the NBA and did the same thing.
These two players inspired millions of young up-and-comers and many of the people dominating the league now admired them and hoped to play like them someday.
Of course, the same thing could be said about James, who is hugely influential and has scored a massive amount of success over his two decades in the league.
If the NBA had a Mount Rushmore, it’s very likely that all three of these men would have a place on it.
