The New York Mets suffered a scare on Wednesday when slugger Pete Alonso was at the plate.
Alonso came up to bat in the first inning and took a Charlie Morton fastball off his left wrist.
He was in obvious pain and he left the game immediately after.
Alonso was able to get an X-ray on his wrist and the results were what all fans were hoping for.
According to Steve Gelbs, the X-rays came back negative and Alonso has been diagnosed with a contusion.

Alonso has been the best hitter on the Mets this year and he is the league leader in home runs.
His 22 home runs give him a three-homer advantage over any other player in the league.
It is always a scary sight to see a player get hit in the hand/wrist area.
Luckily, Alonso had a guard on his left hand which took some of the blow.
It remains to be seen if he will miss any time but the Mets need him back in the lineup as soon as possible.
They have struggled enough to score runs this year, so the last thing they need is their top hitter on the bench.
Alonso is on pace to set a career-high in home runs this year.
He could be the first National League player to hit 60 home runs since Barry Bonds hit 73 in 2001.
As long as he can stay on the field no record is safe.
We are watching one of the top power hitters in the league during the prime of his career.
