The Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but just barely.

Their 133-128 overtime win over the Pacers was very troubling to fans, who wanted them to easily move past Indiana on the way to the Finals.

On Wednesday’s “First Take,” Stephen A. Smith said that he was “disgusted” by what he saw from Boston during Game 1.

He said the team’s offense was “awful,” and it raised very worrying red flags about their chances of getting past the Pacers.

Smith said that fans just don’t know what they are going to get with the Celtics offense, which could spell serious trouble for them in the days ahead.

While they might end up beating the Pacers, what will this team do against a Western Conference foe that has players like Anthony Edwards, Kyrie Irving, or Luka Doncic?

Their inconsistency on offense could be their big undoing, according to Smith.

The Celtics cannot afford to be haphazard, which is exactly what they were on Tuesday.

They came dangerously close to losing Game 1 at home and if it wasn’t for some late-game mistakes by the Pacers and a few clutch shots, they wouldn’t have earned overtime and a win.

This team will have to look much better in Game 2 if they want to ease their worried fans.

All season long, people have said that the Celtics have a ton of talent but also suffer from inconsistency.

That was definitely the case on Tuesday night and it nearly cost them the game.

Will their offense be much stronger in Game 2?
