The New York Giants were a surprise team in the NFL this past season, as they got off to a 6-1 start and never really looked back.
They finished the regular season 9-7-1 and upset the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, and they did so by winning ugly.
Rookie linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux played a key role in the Giants’ success and how they accomplished that success.
Recently, he surprised his mother by buying her a brand-new house.

Thibodeaux grew up in South Los Angeles, a section of the Southland that isn’t exactly Beverly Hills or Santa Monica.
It is perhaps the poorest part of town, where poverty, broken homes, and gang violence are the norm and residents are simply looking to survive and stay out of trouble.
A number of pro athletes, regardless of race, grew up either poor or half a step above poverty, but when they become pros, they use the millions of dollars they make to pay it forward and improve the lives of their families and the community at large.
Thibodeaux certainly earned his money in 2022, as he put up 4.0 sacks, 13 quarterback hits, six tackles for loss, and five passes defended while finishing fourth in the Defensive Rookie of the Year balloting.
He did all that despite missing the first two games of the season with a sprained MCL and sitting out New York’s final regular season game.
Continued improvement from Thibodeaux would certainly help with the team’s hopes of going from a playoff team to a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
