The Denver Broncos find themselves in an interesting position heading into the 2024 season.
After moving on from Russell Wilson, the Broncos had to come up with a game plan for their next quarterback.
Many people expected them to target the position in the draft, which they did in the first round by selecting Bo Nix.
However, Bo Nix wasn’t exactly the most highly touted QB prospect in the class, and there is some speculation that he isn’t a shoo-in for the Week 1 starting gig.
In fact, the team brought in Zach Wilson to compete for the job, and Jarrett Stidham also has an opportunity for some playing time.
Wilson’s exit from the New York Jets was somewhat surprising, and to this point, he hasn’t said a lot, at least publically, about his new landing spot.
That all changed in a conversation with reporters after OTAs, which was shared by Ryan McFadden on Twitter.
Wilson was asked about his thoughts on the state of the position, saying, “First of all, I think competition brings out the best in everybody.”

Wilson believes that this competition could be a good thing for the Broncos.
With the team’s recent QB struggles in mind, there’s no telling who will win the position heading into the year.
Something has to change for this team, especially since the AFC West is a division that continues to get stronger.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers aren’t going anywhere, leaving the Broncos to try anything possible to make up some ground.
