The Dallas Mavericks faced plenty of criticism when they first traded for Kyrie Irving.
On top of his well-documented character issues, there were doubts about his commitment and whether he would be able to coexist with Doncic in the backcourt.
Fast forward to today, and it’s safe to say that those doubts are a thing of the past.
If anything, they’ve been wreaking havoc all season long, and it’s more than evident that their on-court chemistry is great.
That’s why former NBA player Tim Legler recently claimed that they might be the greatest offensive backcourt this game has ever seen.

While that’s a big statement, considering how long the league has been around, he might be on point.
Talking on “Get Up,” Legler talked about their offensive prowess, and while it might still be early to give them that distinction, they could go down as one of the best — if not the best — in that regard.
The Mavericks entered the season as one of the biggest dark horses to go the distance, and they’re now just three wins away from reaching the NBA Finals.
They dominated the Minnesota Timberwolves in the paint in their first game of the Western Conference Finals, and they have the supporting cast to get the job done.
Of course, taking down such a tough defensive team like Minnesota won’t be an easy task, but it someone has the balance and the offensive expertise to do so, it might as well be the team with the best offensive backcourt in the game.
