Things can change in the blink of an eye in the NBA.
Overreactions are always there, and what seemed like a given one day might look like a long shot the other.
That’s why it now seems like oddsmakers — and some analysts and fans — are officially ready to jump off the Minnesota Timberwolves train.
It only took one game to make the odds to make it to the NBA Finals shift in favor of one team to the other, with the Dallas Mavericks now having -164 odds (Via NBA Bet).
The Timberwolves, on the other hand, still have a chance at +138.

It’s been just one game, but the homecourt team just lost homecourt advantage with that upset loss in Game 1.
Also, it’s not like this series was going to be easy, as it always looked like the kind of matchup that could give us six to seven games.
It’s a fact that the Mavericks looked like the better, tougher, and — more importantly — fresher team in Game 1, but there’s still plenty of basketball to be played in this series.
Overreactions are a part of this league, and the media and fans love to build and destroy narratives as they please after every single game.
But the Timberwolves aren’t as bad as they looked yesterday, nor should the Mavs be able to dominate them in the paint in every single game.
This will be a chess match, and people should know better after how things went down in the previous series vs. the Denver Nuggets.
