The Seattle Mariners made history last year.
They hadn’t made the postseason since 2001, Ichiro Suzuki‘s rookie season.
Several stars donned the M’s uniform in the years in the middle: Adam Jones, Kyle Seager, Felix Hernandez, James Paxton, and many more.
They couldn’t play playoff baseball in Seattle.
In 2022, however, the drought was over.
With a 90-72 record, the Mariners finally qualified to October baseball.
The way they punched their ticket will be forever in fans’ minds and hearts.
It fueled the team’s most recent hype video, with the 2023 season about to start.

As the tweet states: there is more history to be made in Seattle.
In the video, Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh narrates the story of how he hit a walk-off home run to send a whole city into a frenzied state.
Seattle and the Oakland Athletics were tied at one run apiece at T-Mobile Park when Raleigh was called upon to be a pinch-hitter.
He took the count to 3-2 and then hit a long drive near the right field foul pole.
The ball stayed fair, and then it was pandemonium in Seattle.
Players running around and huddling at home plate, and fans screaming and jumping in an indescribable state of joy were memories that no one in attendance that night will ever forget.
The Mariners went on to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays in the Wild Card round, and then fell to the Houston Astros in the Division Series.
They competed, though, and showed they can measure up to Houston in a short series.
This year, they are going all-in.
The Mariners want to go all the way this time.
